What's new
We've expanded our template library to cover more of the industries our users work in every day. Whether you're managing property expenses, tracking medical supplies, or logging freight costs, there's now a starting point built for your specific business type.
For a long time, one of the most common pieces of feedback we heard was that setting up categories from scratch felt like a barrier. You know you need to get organized, but staring at a blank list when you're already juggling everything else that comes with running a small business isn't exactly motivating. That's exactly the problem these templates are designed to solve.
The new templates cover:
- Real estate – property maintenance, commissions, staging, repairs, and more
- Healthcare – supplies, equipment, licensing, and patient-related costs

How it works
When you set up your workspace in ReceiptsAI, you can now select a template that matches your industry. The template auto-populates a category list with the expense types most relevant to your business. From there, you can start uploading receipts, invoices, and bank statements right away.
Our AI reads each transaction and maps it to the right category based on your setup. No manual sorting, no guesswork, and no time spent wondering whether a fuel receipt belongs under "vehicle" or "operations." The categories are already there, and the AI handles the matching automatically.
This works whether you're uploading a single receipt from your phone or importing months of bank statements at once. The AI processes each transaction the same way, applying your category structure consistently across everything you bring in.
You still have full control
Templates are a starting point, not a constraint. You can add, remove, or rename any category to fit the way your business actually works. If your real estate business has a specific cost center that doesn't appear in the default template, you can add it in seconds. If a category doesn't apply to you, remove it. The AI will follow your lead and categorize future transactions according to your updated preferences.
